Carolyn Gordon 2nd Vice president

Carolyn attended Lucy C. Laney High School, in Augusta, GA. Carolyn was a cheerleader in high school and the first Black Woman to ever compete in the Miss Exchange Fair Club in Augusta. After graduating,Carolyn became the first Black Women Engineer at John P. King Mill.

Throughout Carolyn’s career, she has amassed numerous leadership certificates, served as Executive Chief Steward at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C, and opened her own daycare in Fort Bliss,Texas.

She continued to run her own daycare and worked with Gwinnett County School Systems with the Special Needs Population prior to her own retirement. Carolyn’s strong belief in God has kept her this far as she and her twin brother Calvin are also the last surviving siblings of six. The motto Carolyn lives by is “God is Real,” and Carolyn tries to spread this message in, her daily life. Carolyn is the third generation of John and Neal Martin.
